Elle by Yves Saint Laurent is a very popular fragrance for women. Elle was launched in October 2007 and is a fragrance that has been designed towards the young market. Opening with citron and lychee smoothed by peony, the fragrance follows with a vibrant heart of jasmin sambac and pink berries and ends with woody notes of patchouli and vetiver. Yves Saint Laurent described it as a modern and urban woman, very feminine but with a touch of masculine.
After wearing this fragrance I found it to be a stronger scent than I expected and lasted for the large majority of the day. I would say that it would be more of a going out or romantic fragrance as apposed to wearing it to work. Yves Saint Laurent describe it as a ‘woody’ fragrance with floral tones. I personally don’t think that it is overly floral.
With it lasting most of the day I would say that it is a good value for money and with Yves Saint Laurent also releasing body and bath products these give the fragrance a layer to apply itself to when worn so it will last longer than expected. I would advise using these body products before applying the fragrance if you are a person where perfumes seem to not last on your skin as much due to your skin maybe being dry etc.
Overall I am very impressed with this fragrance and would recommend it to many people. I think it is good value for money due to the length of time that it lasts before fading on the skin.
