Now working under French giants L Oreal, Dutch design duo Viktor Horsting and Ralf Snoeren made their debut on the Fragrance scene in 1997 with a revolutionary new perfume.
Le Parfum, their first release, was innovative in that it came in a bottle that could not be opened or smelled. They had brought this avant-garde style over from their conceptual fashion business, and it proved just as successful, with the limited edition run of 250 bottles of the exclusive fragrance selling out completely.
Viktor and Rolf s next dalliance with fragrance was not until 2005 with the creation of Flowerbomb, a much more conventional product in that it could actually be worn. Flowerbomb, like the more recent male fragrance, Antidote was created under L Oreal.
