Now working under French giants L Oreal, Dutch design duo Viktor Horsting and Ralf Snoeren burst onto the perfume and aftershave scene in 1997 with a revolutionary new fragrance.
Le Parfum, their first release, was innovative in that it came in a bottle that could not be opened or smelled. They had brought this avant-garde nature over from their conceptual fashion business, and it proved just as successful, with the limited edition run of 250 bottles of the exclusive fragrance selling out.
It was some time before they brought out their next fragrance, the more mainstream Flowerbomb in 2005, but they began making men s EDT just a year later.
Antidote for Men was their first aftershave, with both it and Flowerbomb being made under the L-Oreal umbrella.
