Born to a very famous celebrity couple in London in 1971, Stella McCartney has become a star in her own right, breaking away from her parents twin passions of music and food to become a top fashion designer.
After graduating from St Martin s College in 1995, she immediately began her fasion career as some of the work she produced in her final year of study was bought by top stores such as Browns, Joseph, Bergdorf Goodman, and Neiman Marcus.
She also instigated her own range of clothes on leaving full-time education, and her unique way of joining intelligent couture with wit and sexy femininity was obvious straight away. After launching just two collections, she was appointed creative director of the house of Chloe in Paris, and her appointment instigated a huge upturn in Chloe s fortunes, with both her collections and her advertising campaigns receiving universal acclaim from buyers and the press alike.
She was awarded the VH1/Vogue Fashion and Music Designer of the Year award in 2000, and on the back of this success, left Chloe to launch her own fashion house, Stella McCartney, in par
