Six years later the company was already a multimillion dollar organisation and by 1940 had developed its own lipstick and manicure products.

Revlon is also known for creating make-up and other products related to the US Army during world war two.

The fragrance Charlie was launched in 1973, and aimed to be affordable for working women.

After Charlie came Jontue, which carved its own success and became a number two best seller.
