The Lacoste brand comes not from a fashion designer nor perfume specialist but from tennis champ René Lacoste.
First appearing in 1984, the brand famous for the Crocodile image launched Lacoste Pour Homme, designed to project an elegant image for sportsmen.
Pour Homme is a fresh, green and tonic eau de toilette with a natural scent boasting a fern accord.
More perfumes were to come with the line representing the philosophy of vitality, sport and youth.
1996 saw the arrival of the mens eau de toilette called Booster. It was designed to appeal to those with an adventurous spirit and optimistic outlook. It features elements of citrus, flowers, and wood.
Junior by Lacoste hit the shelves in 1998 and was something of a bold statement in that it was designed for children from eight to 12 who wanted to wear perfume like adults. A fruity and light fragrance, it reflected the joy and energy of its fans.
For the arrival of the new millennium Lacoste created Lacoste 2000, a scent which was designed to be reassuring, brave and manly and to mark the passing of the milestone with an optimistic air. |
