Jean Paul Gaultier is probably most famous for designing Madonna s infamous conical bra for the Blonde Ambition Tour. The French designer was born in 1952 and after training as Pierre Cardin s assistant he launched his first collection in 1979.
Following his huge success in the fashion world Gaultier achieved similar acclaim with his fragrance range. He created Classique, his first fragrance for women in 1993 and followed it with the equally successful cologne Le Male, just two years later. In 2005 he launched a unisex fragrance, Gaultier, marketed as “the fragrance for humanity”.
