The brand Givenchy was founded in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy.
Since Hubert s retirement in 1995, Givenchy has attracted designers such as Alexander McQueen, Ozwald Boateng, John Galliano and Julien McDonald.
Audrey Hepburn was credited with helping Givenchy create “Givenchy Style” which was said to combine American glamour with French Elegance.
Givenchy returned the favour by launching his first fragrance L Interdit as a tribute to Hepburn. Since the launch of that first fragrance Givenchy has created a range of eau de parfums, said to convey a spectrum of emotions, including Ysatis in 1984, followed by Amirage in 1991 and Organza in 1996.
