The Givenchy fragrance has a rich history, having adorned the necks of any number of the world s greatest families, including the Guinnesses, the Kennedys and the Grimaldis.
It is now the second largest division of LVMH, after Dior, having been founded in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy.
His first perfume, L Interdit, was a tribute to world-famous actress Audrey Hepburn, conveying, as all his fragrances did, a range of emotions with the most powerful in doing so being Ysatis, launched in 1984, then Amarige in 1991, and Organza, in 1996, all of which managed beautifully to capture the specific atmosphere of their time.
