Emporio He or Emporio He/ll was launched in 1998 by Armani, the Launch of Emporio he coincided with the launch of its female counterpart, both styled eloquently in metal tubes inspired by mobile phones apparently.
Like many fragrances Emporio he has its own little quirks, for instance when launched there was a contest for people to create the advertisement, many of which can be viewed on a certain popular video website. However my favourite design idea by Armani by far is the fact that the male and female version of this fragrance fit together at the atomiser!
Emporio He has top notes of Yuzu, Sage and Cardamon. With a middle of Vetiver and a base of Cedarwood, Guaiacwood, Sandalwood and Musk.
When you first smell Emprio He it opens with hints of grapefruit and orange due to the Yuzu, creating a mild and pleasant experience. Then after about 30mins Emporio He settles down into a musky woody dry down scent, which this fragrance is really all about.
The combination of the complimenting top and base notes means that Emporio He is definitely an all weather fragrance. In the winter it smells sweet, helping to cue those winter blues. Whilst in the summer the musk helps it to stay dry in the heat so not to be overpowering.
The musky woody tones of Emporio He make it a masculine fragrance which could be worn in a romantic setting however in my mind its best suited to day to day use and office wear; due to its inoffensive nature. Emporio He also lasts for about 8 hours making it perfect for the working day.
