Estee Lauder started her company in 1946 wit her husband Joseph. They used the expertise of a chemist uncle to create a successful line of skin creams. The line took off very quickly, winning loyal fans before the earliest cream even had labels and within two years the couple had secured an account with the department store Saks Fifth Avenue in New York.
The Estee Lauder Company had already won a reputation for excellence, quality, research and innovation, by the time their pioneering new fragrance Youth Dew was launched in 1953. Since then, Estee Lauder has produced a wide range of eau de perfume collections, including the very popular Beautiful and Pleasures.
Estee Lauder opened an account with Harrods in London in 1963 and today the Estee Lauder Collection of cosmetics exemplifies artistic and scientific brilliance.
