Dunhill bears the surname of its founder, Alfred, who developed what is now a world famous brand from his fathers business in London.
Dunhill first started out as a luxury automobile accessory specialist - its early efforts included lamps, car horns, picnic sets and leather overcoats under the tagline "Everything But the Motor".
Alfred switched his attention to a tobacco shop in London in 1907, which soon developed into a chain with outlets in New York and Paris.
From an initial line of pipes, cigars and tobacco the company started to sell mens fragrances and cigarettes, with actor Jude Law now fronting its advertising campaigns. |
