Donna Karan was born to parents who were both of the fashion world, and she followed in their footsteps when she became the successor to Anne Klein after Klein died in the mid 1970s.
Eventually she formed her own modern apparel and accessories corporation, DKNY, with her late husband, Stephan Weiss.
This range would eventually expand to perfume. In fashion, Karan originally only designed clothes for women, but was eventually inspired by her husband to create a range for men as well, and she followed suit with a collection of aftershaves for men as well.
